Joomla CMS: A quick remedy for server access from a lost or changed password

I tried to access ftp/cpanel on one of my accounts today but the client must have reset the password and forgot to tell me about it.

extplorer to the rescue, I was able to access the server in 2 minutes and make my php edits to get the job done :]

Auto post to twitter from Joomla

A simple way to automatically post your Joomla content/blog updates to twitter is with twitterfeed.com 

 

1) Configure your rss url in Joomla’s core or through one of the many rss components in the The Joomla! Extensions Directory  I recommend Ninja Rss 

2) Sign up with twitterfeed.com

3) Connect your twitter account via Oauth

4)  Test it out! update your Joomla content and check to see if it posts to twitter.

Automatically update social media channels from WordPress

A simple way to update all of your social media channels from a blog post.

1) Link up your Facebook and Twitter accounts 

2) Connect your LinkedIn account to Twitter 

3) Install and configure Twitter Tools for WordPress 

Result: your WordPress blog post writes to your twitter account, twitter in-turn updates both LinkedIn and Facebook :]
